Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Nucleic Acid Detection Kit (Fluorescence Quantitative PCR Method) This kit is a multiplex one-step qRT-PCR methods to quantitatively detect the conserved regions of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (the virus causes the CoVID19 disease in human). RNA is isolated from subject samples (e.g. nosal and/or mouth swabs) and used in one-step qRT-PCR analysis. The Taqman probes in one-step supermix are designed to bind specifically to the conserved regions of the SARS-CoV-2 virus genome (the N gene and the ORF1ab gene). The following types of samples have been tested with the kit: pharynx swab, nasopharyngeal extract, sputum, bronchial lavage fluid, alveolar lavage fluid.
