The Letter of ORGASYNTH
FLORESSENCE is growing!

Floressence, established at its Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne site in the Grasse countryside since 1996, has been watching its business grow by the year. So the fragrance creator initiated work to enlarge its facilities, in anticipation of a new phase of business expansion.
The new building was inaugurated by Michel Admont, the company’s director, on July 18, 2006, in a ceremony attended by Emmanuel Alves, chairman and founder of the Orgasynth Group that acquired Floressence in early 2005.

“Floressence,” commented Michel Admont, “is giving itself a good shot in the arm. Our 400 sq. m expansion, which encompasses all our Research & Development, Applied Research and Fragrance laboratories, will allow us to respond to our customers’ demands with even more precision, boost our competitiveness and keep growing.”

The new “Fragrances” wing, dedicated solely to the company’s core area of expertise, now houses its fragrance creators, the evaluation and application department and marketing, making for smoother interaction between the three departments.

The evaluation department reports better responsiveness in terms of routing customer briefs and supervising the creativity of the fragrance designers. The fragrance library’s new location “within sniffing distance” speeds up the handling of various project steps. Marketing, housed upstairs, will benefit from its proximity to the other departments and will be able to hone its market intelligence-gathering, a function that is vital to orienting Floressence’s trends and collections and to its consulting work with clients.

Another core focus of the expansion was workstation health and safety, with special attention to preparer workstations. The new modern installations are more comfortable for workers and comply with the very latest legislative requirements regarding worker exposure to hazardous substances, especially CMRs, or carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic substances.
The expansion, concludes E. Alves, makes perfect sense in light of Orgasynth’s goals for the future of its “Flavors and Fragrances” business, which will be a top priority in the coming years.
