
4. What is your strategy in flavours and fragrances ?
In the field of flavours and fragrances, we have decided to vertically integrate the path.
We position ourselves as producer of aromatic raw materials, which differentiates us from pure traders. This positioning ensures the mastering of the production and commercialization chain for quite a few numbers of strategic family productions and guarantees our clients the traceability of our products. This approach was initiated in 2001 with the recovery of the participation in PAD (PLANTES AROMATIQUES DU DIOIS), which cultivates and transforms organic plants, by the total take over of BAMBAO-TROPIKAL, our subsidiary form the Comorros Islands, and also by the creation of a JV in Ukraine (EASTAROMA) and in Moldavia (FRAMAROMA). Thanks to these transactions, ORGASYNTH possesses its own cultivation fields for aromatic plans, but also has invested locally in industrial tools for distillation and/or extraction so that it can process plants freshly cut.
With ADRIAN Industries and its subsidiaries, we benefit from an assembly structure, from a transformation and marketing of essential oils coming from our cultures or bought outside the Group.
Finally, at the end of the chain, FONTAROME and more recently FLORESSENCE, design and manufactures flavours and fragrances which uses the production and collect raw materials facilities of the Group in order to develop their creative research and enlarge the offer of the Group targeted at the clientele of the Flavours and Fragrances markets.
